The Orea Real Estate College Admissions Test is largely based on basic math skills. Those with a date with this test may want to consider taking the Real Estate Math Preparation Course for the OREA exam.

About The OREA Admissions Test
When OREA came a private vocational career college, academic prerequisites were established as a prerequisite for admission. There are three ways of meeting the academic admission requirements:
1. An Ontario high school diploma.
2. An equivalent to an Ontario High School diploma.
- includes a post secondary diploma from another province or country;
- some other odds and ends (contact OREA)
- completion of the GED exam (Information regarding the GED is available at The Independent Learning Centre website at www.ilc.org)
3. Passing the OREA Real Estate College Admissions Test with a mark of 50%.
This is a test of basic English and Math up to grade 12. It includes English grammar, basic calculations (multiplication, division, percentages). The purpose is to ensure that applicants have the basic math literacy, language skills and learning prerequisites necessary to complete the OREA program. (The OREA program requires competency in real estate math skills.) It is a three hour test that is composed of 50 to 60 questions. The fee to take the test is approximately $50.
At the present time, OREA does not provide a sample test.
